Change of batteries

AMPTS® II, AMPTS® II Light, Gas Endeavour® and BRS instruments with earlier versions of the embedded server are equipped with two alkaline AA batteries to maintain the RTC (Real Time Clock). After about two years, depending on usage, these batteries risk being depleted and should be replaced. If they are not, a power failure might lead to the RTC being reset to the 1st of January 1970 which will in turn compromise the data recorded after the power has been restored.

The instruments that have the earlier version of the embedded server and therefore may be in need of battery replacement have the following serial numbers

1100-2100-1100-1100 to 1100-2100-1100-2999

The only thing needed for the battery exchange is two fully charged AA batteries and a 2.5 mm hex key. Please read the instructions for the procedure.

Please note that some of the earliest versions of AMPTS II might be equipped with a button battery instead of AA batteries. If this is the case, please contact our support team at support@bioprocesscontrol.com and we will assist you.
