Judith went to JAM 2016

At the end of July our Application Engineer Judith went to Salt Lake City, USA, to participate in the ASAS-ADSA-CSAS-WSASAS Joint Annual Meeting (JAM) 2016. The focus of the conference was Animal science and a large part was about Bioprocess Control’s new application field: animal nutrition.

It was a great opportunity for us to learn more about the field in general, but also gain good insight into the field in this part of the world. Judith had some interesting days with the many participants from 37 different countries, networking and talking to users of the in vitro gas measurement method and the various instruments used.

There were an impressive 2000 posters and oral presentations at JAM 2016, and Judith’s best takeaways from the conference were not only gaining a better understanding of the US market regarding animal nutrition, but also further looking into topics like animal models for human nutrition, companion animal nutrition as well as nutrition for beef/dairy cattle and the importance of mitigation of greenhouse gasses.
